Our Most Popular & Timeless Keepsake Quilt
The Block Style T-Shirt Quilt is our most popular and straightforward quilt option. This classic design features uniform t-shirt blocks sewn directly together, creating a clean, traditional layout that highlights your favorite shirts, logos, and memories.
This style is ideal for graduations, memorial quilts, sports shirts, milestones, and everyday keepsake blankets. Its simple construction makes it a timeless choice that will be loved and used for years.
How the Block Style Quilt Is Made
1. Shirt Preparation & Stabilization
Each shirt is carefully prepared and reinforced with fusible interfacing to stabilize the fabric and ensure long-term durability while preserving softness.
2. Cutting Uniform Blocks
-
Shirts are typically cut into 13" x 13" squares, resulting in 12" x 12" finished blocks.
-
This uniform sizing creates a clean, balanced quilt that keeps graphics and designs centered and easy to see.
3. Layout & Design Approval
-
Shirt blocks are arranged with color balance and visual flow as the top priority.
-
If you have a specific layout request, we are happy to accommodate it.
-
Layout photos are sent for approval before sewing begins.
4. Sewing & Quilting
-
Blocks are sewn directly together to create the quilt top.
-
For fleece-backed quilts, we use a simple and durable quilting method called “stitch in the ditch,” quilting along the seams between blocks in clean straight lines.
5. Backing & Binding
-
Quilts are backed with your choice of high-quality no-pill fleece or cotton fabric.
-
A handmade cotton binding is added around the edges to finish the quilt and provide a polished, cohesive look.
